Lacey Peters received her Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with endorsements in Health and Physical Education K-12, Basic Business 6-12, Supplemental Adapted Physical Education, and Health Sciences. Lacey spent 3 years as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Westside Middle School in Omaha; and 6 years as a Health Science and Aquatics based Physical Education teacher at Westside High School. During this time, she earned her Masters degree in Physical Activity and Health Promotion from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Lacey served as the Let’s Move Active Schools Liaison for Nebraska and is nationally certified in the Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program. She is currently the Health and Physical Education Program Leader at the Nebraska Department of Education and assists with the Whole Child Project. In their spare time, Lacey, her husband, their son and soon to be new daughter and dogs enjoy nearly everything in the outdoors.
